John 12: 3 “Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair".
Oil is precious and valuable! In the Bible, oil is often used in the acts of anointing and healing. There is also a place in the Bible where we see Mary, a follower of Jesus, anoint the feet of Jesus by pouring oil on them. While, the bystanders warned her not to pour the oil on Jesus' feet (because they considered it to be a waste of money), Mary commenced to pouring the oil. Metaphorically speaking, Jesus became like a jar that Mary decided to pour her oil or praise into.
We often spend time pouring our oil into jars that are unfulfilling, unstable, and unworthy of our praise or attention. We pour into jars that broken, leaking, and incomplete. I encourage you to pour your oil into the right jar. Jesus! He can fulfill all things in you, stablize the unstable, and He is simply worthy of your praise. Pour into the right jar!
